Orange Baba

PREPARATION: peel five oranges, removing the strings and cut them into slices; place them in a bowl covered with the sugar, rum and orange juice and leave them to macerate. After about an hour, remove the oranges from the bowl, drain them well, and arrange them on a plate. Pour the syrup into a small saucepan, add 50 grams of water, and heat for a few minutes, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon. Garnish the babas with the orange slices and cover them with the cooled syrup.
